To Be or Not To Be

Many of you know I’m involved in the web video world, mostly from the perspective of behind the camera side. I’ve been doing PA (production assistant) work, been a 2nd assistant director (AD), and a 1st AD as well, in addition to editing and some writing and some producing.  All of these have been great learning experiences and I have really enjoyed them.  In addition to all the things listed, there is one more thing I enjoy doing, and even some of my web friends don’t know about this:

I want to act.

You can find my headshots/resume/reel here.

The Ghetto Blog Returns

I guess I stopped updating the Ghetto Blog around when I stopped blogging here.

Andrew’s Ghetto Blog (www.andrewsghettoblog.com) returns. Check out the new post.

If the shoe doesn’t fit…

PREFACE:

I have a huge deal of respect for Tubefilter and the IAWTV, each and everyone who was nominated for awards and even those who didn’t get nominated at last night’s Streamy Awards. I myself, feel that for better or worse (for my bank acct) I can proudly say I make a living off of being a part of the web video community.

———-

There already has been much discussion about everything that happened at last night’s Streamy awards, I’ll just assume you’ve read an article or two about the show itself.  I am almost hesitant to write anything at all, but I most of all want to be a contributing member of the community, and I feel to stay silent would not be the appropriate course of action.

Head First

I’m learning things about myself.  Which is good, if I stop, take stock of what I’ve learned and then apply those principals to the future.

The lesson I’ve been coming to grips with is that too often I dive head first into many areas of my life.
