Inception by far has been the best film I’ve seen so far this year. I very strongly suggest you see it before reading on further. As this post will draw from themes and ideas from the movie. I will try and stay as spoiler free but for the most part you will have to have seen both movies that I talk about during this post, Inception and Synecdoche, New York.

About to sit down and watch Hot Tub Time Machine.
Been excited for this for a while. It hopefully involves a vein of funny that isn’t always found in most comedy movies and has somewhat of an indescribable feel to it. Kinda like the first time you saw Napoleon Dynamite and all you could say was just go see this. I can’t explain the funny it just is, and you have to see it to know what I’m talking about.

I am always a fan of great cinema. I might go as far as saying I’m a bit of a snob when it comes to movies.
That being said, there are times when something so simple, can be so intricate at the same time.
One of my all time favorite directors, some may say, visionary, is Spike Jonze. Having come from the humble beginnings of the music video world, he never ceases to amaze me with his ability to think so far outside the box, you end up waning to live inside of his box, because it just feels so right.
